For her retelling of the “Jack and the Beanstalk” from the Giant’s point of view, author Susan Faw wanted an elaborate cover that communicated both “fairy tale” and “young adult story.” We came up with this concept of a golden egg encircled with ivy against an etched pattern backdrop.
